White monasteries stand among the bare walls of the Himalayas. Temples, courtyards, kitchens, libraries – everything crowded on a small area and extended over the centuries.
W klasztorach dominuje czerwień i taki też kolor mają szaty mnichów (zastępowane czasami polarami lub swetrami, czerwonymi oczywiście).
Red predominates in the monasteries. The robes of the monks are the same colour (sometimes they are substituted for polar jackets or sweaters, red of course).

Three monks were creating the mandala, a kind of three-dimensional „painting”, for a week. The ritual consists in heaping lace pattern of colorful sand. Later the work will be scattered in the wind.
